AH-005

AH-005 is a small molecule protein degrader developed by AnHorn Medicines for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The drug is designed using AnHorn's proprietary "Functional Glue" technology, a form of targeted protein degradation (TPD) that facilitates the degradation of disease-causing proteins. In the case of BPH, AH-005 is intended to degrade the androgen receptor (AR), thereby reducing the hormonal stimulation that leads to prostate enlargement. This approach offers a potentially more comprehensive therapeutic effect than traditional inhibitors by eliminating the target protein entirely. AH-005 is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials to assess its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in patients with BPH.
