Overview
AH Plus is an epoxy-amine resin-based root canal sealer developed by Dentsply Sirona. It is a two-component paste system used for the permanent obturation of root canals in conjunction with gutta-percha or other core materials. The sealer is characterized by its excellent mechanical properties, high dimensional stability, radiopacity, and biocompatibility. It functions by creating a hermetic seal within the root canal system to prevent bacterial ingress and microleakage. In clinical studies, such as those conducted by Jaweria Gul Keyani, it is frequently used as a gold standard to compare the incidence and intensity of post-operative pain against newer materials like bioceramic sealers in patients with irreversible pulpitis.
