Overview

AHB-121 is an investigational small molecule therapeutic candidate being developed by AusperBio (Hangzhou Haobo Pharmaceutical) for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B (CHB). It is administered via subcutaneous injection. In August 2026, the Center for Drug Evaluation (CDE) of China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) accepted the Investigational New Drug (IND) application for AHB-121. An ongoing Phase I clinical trial (CTR20263899) is evaluating the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, immunogenicity, and cytokine effects of subcutaneous AHB-121 in healthy volunteers and participants with chronic hepatitis B.
