AHB-837 is an antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) therapeutic candidate developed by Ausper Biopharma for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. Engineered using Ausper's proprietary Med-Oligo™ ASO platform, AHB-837 is designed to specifically target and bind to hepatitis B virus RNA transcripts. This binding triggers the degradation of the viral RNA, effectively silencing the production of HBV viral proteins and inhibiting viral replication. By reducing the viral load and protein burden, AHB-837 aims to restore the host's immune response and facilitate a functional cure for patients with chronic hepatitis B. The candidate has received Investigational New Drug (IND) approval for clinical testing.
