Drug intelligence / Profile preview
aHVEM17 is a fully humanized monoclonal antibody targeting herpesvirus entry mediator (HVEM, also known as TNFRSF14). Developed by City of Hope National Medical Center in collaboration with TGEN, it is being investigated for the treatment of multiple myeloma. aHVEM17 binds to HVEM with high affinity and exerts potent anti-tumor activity by inducing natural killer (NK) cell-mediated antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). Additionally, it blocks the interaction between HVEM and B- and T-lymphocyte attenuator (BTLA), functioning as an immune checkpoint inhibitor.
