Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**AIC1000** is a third-generation chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by AffyImmune Therapeutics using their proprietary "Tune & Track" platform. It targets **ICAM-1** (Intercellular Adhesion Molecule 1), which is overexpressed in solid tumors, to address challenges in solid tumor treatment such as toxicity, antigen loss, T-cell exhaustion, tumor microenvironment suppression, and poor T-cell trafficking. The therapy finely tunes CAR T-cell affinity to enhance safety and persistence while enabling in vivo monitoring. It is being evaluated in a Phase 1 dose-escalation trial for relapsed/refractory anaplastic thyroid cancer (ATC) and poorly differentiated thyroid cancer (PDTC), including BRAF wild-type and post-BRAF inhibitor failure cases.[3][4][7][19]
