Overview

AIG13 is a small molecule inhibitor of Poly(ADP-ribose) glycohydrolase (PARG) currently in preclinical development by AIGEN Sciences. PARG is an enzyme responsible for the degradation of poly(ADP-ribose) (PAR) polymers, which are synthesized by PARP enzymes in response to DNA damage. By inhibiting PARG, AIG13 leads to the accumulation of PAR, which disrupts DNA repair processes and induces synthetic lethality in cancers with specific DNA repair deficiencies, such as BRCA1-deficient solid tumors. The program is currently in the lead optimization stage of preclinical development.
