Overview

AIM CTL (Artificial Immune Modulation-primed Cytotoxic T Lymphocytes) is an adoptive cell therapy developed by NexImmune using its proprietary AIM platform. The platform utilizes nanoparticles that mimic dendritic cell function by presenting MHC-peptide complexes (Signal 1) and anti-CD28 costimulatory molecules (Signal 2) to selectively activate and expand endogenous, multi-antigen-specific CD8+ T cells from a patient's blood. These expanded CTLs are characterized by a rejuvenated phenotype and high specificity for tumor-associated antigens (TAAs). AIM CTLs are being investigated for the treatment of hematologic malignancies, including multiple myeloma and acute myeloid leukemia, both as a monotherapy and in combination with T-cell engagers (TCEs) to enhance anti-tumor efficacy and persistence.
