AIM Hanxin is a recombinant protein vaccine developed by AIM Honesty for the prevention of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. The vaccine utilizes the *Hansenula polymorpha* yeast expression system to produce the hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), which serves as the active ingredient. Upon administration, the vaccine induces protective neutralizing antibodies (anti-HBs) and cellular immune responses against the virus. It is approved in China for various populations, including infants, children, and adults. Clinical data has demonstrated a high blocking rate (97.36%) for mother-to-child transmission in infants born to HBsAg-positive and HBeAg-positive mothers, with an average antibody positive rate of 99%. The vaccine was included in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia in 2010 and holds a significant market share in the Chinese domestic market.
