Aireez

**Aireez** is a brand name for **montelukast sodium**, a leukotriene receptor antagonist used for long-term asthma control, prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction, and relief of seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis symptoms. It selectively blocks cysteinyl leukotriene receptors (CysLT1) in airway smooth muscle cells and mast cells, inhibiting leukotriene binding to prevent bronchoconstriction, mucus secretion, edema, and inflammation. Developed originally by Merck as Singulair and approved by the FDA in 1998, Aireez is available as 10 mg tablets, 5 mg/10 mg chewable tablets, and 4 mg sachets, primarily marketed in Pakistan by PharmEvo for antiasthmatic therapy.[1][2][5][7][9]
