AIRISE-02 is a preclinical nanoparticle-based cancer immunotherapy developed by PDX Pharma. It uses a polymer-coated mesoporous silica Pdx-NP nanoparticle to co-deliver a CpG oligodeoxynucleotide TLR9 agonist and small interfering RNA directed against STAT3 into locally injected tumors. CpG activates antigen-presenting cells, while STAT3 silencing is intended to reduce tumor-cell survival and immunosuppressive signaling in the tumor microenvironment, enabling in situ tumor vaccination and systemic CD8-positive T-cell-mediated antitumor immunity.
