Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AIRISE-siKRAS-NP is an investigational therapeutic candidate developed by PDX Pharmaceuticals, utilizing its proprietary **AIRISE** (Augmented Immune Response and Inhibitor SEnsitive) nanoparticle platform. The drug is designed to deliver small interfering RNA (siRNA) that specifically targets and silences the **KRAS** oncogene. KRAS mutations are primary drivers in several aggressive malignancies, including pancreatic, colorectal, and non-small cell lung cancers. By encapsulating the siRNA within a nanoparticle, the formulation protects the genetic material from systemic degradation and facilitates targeted delivery to tumor cells. The AIRISE platform is engineered not only to inhibit the expression of the KRAS protein but also to potentially stimulate a localized anti-tumor immune response, thereby addressing both the oncogenic signaling and the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment.
