Aixinone

Aixinone is a botanical drug candidate developed by Shenzhen Haiwang Pharmaceutical, primarily composed of total flavonoids extracted from the leaves of *Crataegus pinnatifida* (Hawthorn). It is formulated as an oral tablet for the treatment of stable exertional angina pectoris and coronary artery disease, specifically targeting patients diagnosed with the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) pattern of blood stasis obstructing the heart vessels. The therapeutic effect is attributed to the flavonoids' ability to enhance coronary blood flow, reduce myocardial oxygen consumption, and provide antioxidant protection to the vascular endothelium. Aixinone has been evaluated in Phase II clinical trials in China to assess its efficacy and safety in improving symptoms and exercise tolerance in patients with stable angina.
