Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ajamamsa Rasayanam is a traditional Ayurvedic polyherbal formulation prepared in the form of a semi-solid electuary (Lehyam). Its primary active component is goat meat (Ajamamsa), which is processed with a variety of medicinal herbs, including Dashamoola (a group of ten roots), Ashwagandha, and various spices and rejuvenative herbs. It is classified as a 'Rasayana' in Ayurveda, meaning it is intended for rejuvenation, longevity, and revitalization. The formulation is primarily used as a restorative tonic to improve physical strength, muscle mass, and immunity. It is traditionally indicated for conditions such as muscle wasting, general debility, respiratory disorders like chronic cough and asthma, and neurological conditions including paraplegia and facial palsy.
