Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AJP001 is a proprietary carrier peptide and adjuvant developed by FunPep, serving as a core component of the company's STEP UP (Search Technology for Functional Peptides) platform. It is designed to be conjugated with target peptide antigens to overcome the typically low immunogenicity of short peptides. AJP001 functions by facilitating the delivery of the antigen and providing adjuvant activity that stimulates the production of high-titer antibodies against the target protein. Rather than being a standalone therapeutic, AJP001 is a platform technology component integrated into various peptide vaccines in FunPep's pipeline, such as FPP003 (targeting IL-17A) and FPP004 (targeting IgE).
