Overview

AJU-R713 is a generic oral formulation of pranlukast developed by AJU Pharm Co., Ltd. for the treatment of bronchial asthma and perennial allergic rhinitis. As a selective cysteinyl leukotriene receptor 1 (CysLT1) antagonist, it works by inhibiting the action of leukotrienes, which are potent inflammatory mediators involved in bronchoconstriction, mucus production, and airway edema. The drug has been evaluated in Phase 1 bioequivalence studies in South Korea to demonstrate its comparability to the reference pranlukast product, R713R.
