AK-R215

**AK-R215** is an Alvogen Korea fixed-dose oral combination of the selective estrogen receptor modulator bazedoxifene and cholecalciferol. The registered Phase 1 pharmacokinetic study evaluated AK-R215 against loose coadministration of bazedoxifene 20 mg and cholecalciferol 800 IU in healthy adult men and menopausal women. Bazedoxifene provides tissue-selective estrogen-receptor modulation relevant to bone preservation, while cholecalciferol is metabolically activated to vitamin D metabolites that activate the vitamin D receptor and support calcium and phosphate homeostasis.
