Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AK117 + docetaxel is an investigational combination therapy consisting of AK117, a monoclonal antibody targeting CD47, and docetaxel, a chemotherapeutic agent that stabilizes microtubules and inhibits cell division. AK117 is designed to block the CD47-SIRPα interaction, thereby enabling macrophage-mediated phagocytosis of tumor cells. Docetaxel disrupts microtubule dynamics, leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in rapidly dividing tumor cells. This combination is being evaluated for its potential to provide synergistic antitumor effects, particularly in the treatment of prostate cancer and potentially other solid tumors.
