Overview

AK137 is a bispecific monoclonal antibody developed by Akeso Biopharma that targets both CD73 and Lymphocyte activation gene 3 protein (LAG-3). It is designed as an immuno-oncology therapy to enhance anti-tumor immune responses by simultaneously inhibiting the immunosuppressive functions of CD73 and LAG-3, which are implicated in tumor immune evasion. The drug is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, where its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary anti-tumor activity are being evaluated[1][2][3][7]. As a first-in-class bispecific antibody with this dual mechanism, AK137 represents an innovative approach to cancer immunotherapy.
