Overview

AK154 is a personalized neoantigen mRNA cancer vaccine developed by Akeso. It is designed to encode patient-specific tumor neoantigens identified through genomic sequencing of the patient's tumor. The vaccine aims to stimulate the immune system, specifically T cells, to recognize and attack tumor cells expressing these unique antigens. It is currently being investigated in clinical trials for the treatment of surgically resectable pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), both as a monotherapy and in combination with other immunotherapies like AK104 (cadonilimab, a PD-1/CTLA-4 bispecific antibody) or AK112 (ivonescimab, a PD-1/VEGF bispecific antibody).
