AKA-2 (Acıbadem Kanser Asısı-2) is an autologous dendritic cell (DC) vaccine developed by Acıbadem Labcell for the treatment of hematological malignancies. The therapy involves the isolation of a patient's own dendritic cells, which are then pulsed ex vivo with tumor-specific synthetic antigens. These engineered cells are subsequently re-administered to the patient to function as potent antigen-presenting cells. The primary goal of AKA-2 is to stimulate and expand a robust, antigen-specific T-cell response capable of identifying and eliminating tumor cells. It is currently in development for various indications within hemato-oncology.
