Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AKG-200 is a preclinical mRNA-based prophylactic vaccine being developed by Akagera Medicines for the prevention of tuberculosis (*Mycobacterium tuberculosis*). As part of Akagera's mRNA vaccine platform, AKG-200 is designed to deliver genetic instructions to host cells to produce specific mycobacterial antigens, thereby eliciting a protective immune response against TB infection. The program is currently in the preclinical stage, aiming to provide a modern alternative or supplement to existing tuberculosis vaccines like BCG.
