Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Akriderm is a topical corticosteroid containing betamethasone dipropionate, developed and manufactured by the Russian pharmaceutical company Akrikhin. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of inflammatory and allergic skin conditions, including various forms of dermatitis, eczema, and psoriasis. As a synthetic glucocorticoid, it exerts potent anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive effects by binding to intracellular glucocorticoid receptors, thereby modulating gene expression to reduce the production of inflammatory mediators. The product line also includes combination formulations such as Akriderm Genta (with gentamicin), Akriderm GK (with gentamicin and clotrimazole), and Akriderm SK (with salicylic acid).
