**AKS-321d** is a once-weekly subcutaneous insulin therapy developed by Akston Biosciences for the treatment of diabetes in dogs, utilizing the company's Ambifect Fc-fusion protein platform. It consists of a recombinant FcRn-binding insulin fusion protein that leverages FcRn-mediated recycling to achieve an extended plasma half-life and resistance to proteolysis, enabling weekly dosing to replace current twice-daily veterinary insulins and improve owner compliance and pet quality of life.
