Overview

AKTX-102 is a novel antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by Akari Therapeutics for the treatment of solid tumors. The drug employs a bispecific antibody linked to a proprietary cytotoxic payload (PH5) designed to target and disrupt DNA mismatch repair (MMR) mechanisms in tumor cells. This leads to the generation of neoepitopes—new antigens that enhance immune recognition of cancer cells. The specific cellular target of the antibody component remains undisclosed, and AKTX-102 is positioned as part of Akari's next-generation precision ADC pipeline, intended to induce highly selective cancer cell death while stimulating immune response and minimizing off-target toxicity. The compound is in the preclinical/discovery phase and has not yet reached clinical trials[1][4][5][7][14].
