Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Al18F-3p-C-NETA-TATE (also known as [18F]AlF-3p-C-NETA-TATE) is a preclinical-stage radiopharmaceutical designed for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of neuroendocrine tumors. It consists of the somatostatin analogue Tyr3-octreotate (TATE) conjugated to the versatile bifunctional chelator 3p-C-NETA, which is radiolabeled with fluorine-18 via the aluminum fluoride (Al18F) method. The targeting vector TATE specifically binds to somatostatin receptor 2 (SSTR2), which is highly overexpressed in neuroendocrine tumors. Al18F-3p-C-NETA-TATE is developed as a diagnostic imaging agent and potential theranostic partner to therapeutic radiometal-labeled counterparts (such as bismuth-213, lutetium-177, or terbium-161 conjugated to 3p-C-NETA-TATE) for personalized dosimetry and targeted radionuclide therapy.
