Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Al18F-TCO-BCMAnano is a preclinical fluorine-18-labeled nanobody-based radiopharmaceutical designed for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of multiple myeloma. It consists of a high-affinity nanobody (BCMAnano) targeting B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA), which is conjugated to aluminum fluoride-18 (Al18F) via trans-cyclooctene (TCO) click chemistry. Developed by researchers from the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University, the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Peking Union Medical College, and Emory University, Al18F-TCO-BCMAnano exhibits high stability and low bone accumulation in vivo, enabling sensitive and specific visualization of BCMA-expressing multiple myeloma lesions.
