Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AL2846 + gemcitabine is a combination therapy consisting of AL2846, an investigational oral multi-target tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) with potent inhibition of multiple receptor tyrosine kinases including **c-MET, VEGFR1, VEGFR3, c-KIT, Axl, RET, and KDR**, and gemcitabine, a nucleoside analog and antineoplastic chemotherapy agent. This combination has been primarily evaluated in advanced pancreatic cancer. AL2846 is designed to target molecular pathways involved in tumor growth, angiogenesis, and drug resistance, while gemcitabine is a standard cytotoxic agent used in various solid tumors. Clinical studies show the combination is tolerated but does not improve efficacy over standard treatment in pancreatic cancer[1][3][9].
