ALAP-1

ALAP-1 (marketed as Aller-7) is a proprietary polyherbal formulation developed for the management of seasonal allergic rhinitis. It consists of extracts from seven medicinal plants: *Phyllanthus emblica* (Amla), *Terminalia chebula* (Chebulic Myrobalan), *Terminalia bellerica* (Belleric Myrobalan), *Albizia lebbeck*, *Zingiber officinale* (Ginger), *Piper nigrum* (Black Pepper), and *Piper longum* (Long Pepper). The formulation exhibits multi-target activity, including antihistaminic, anti-inflammatory, and mast cell stabilizing properties. Specifically, it has been shown to inhibit the release of histamine from mast cells and suppress the 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) pathway, thereby reducing the production of leukotrienes. Clinical studies, including randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trials, have evaluated its efficacy in attenuating nasal symptoms and histamine-induced nasal provocation in patients with seasonal allergic rhinitis.
