Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Alb-Flt3L fusion protein is a recombinant fusion protein consisting of Fms-like tyrosine kinase 3 ligand (Flt3L) fused to albumin. This design extends the serum half-life and bioactivity of Flt3L compared to the native cytokine. Flt3L is a key growth factor for dendritic cell (DC) development and expansion, particularly conventional DCs (cDCs) and plasmacytoid DCs (pDCs). The albumin-fusion strategy enhances tissue targeting and persistence in vivo, leading to more robust expansion of DC populations and improved anti-tumor immune responses in preclinical models. The drug is being developed primarily as an immunotherapy for cancer by Papivax Biotech[1][6][9].
