Albelin

Albelin is a combination oral cough syrup developed and manufactured by Alben Health Care Industries. It is primarily indicated for the relief of cough associated with bronchospasm and thick mucus, common in conditions such as bronchitis, bronchial asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The formulation contains four active components: **ambroxol**, a mucolytic agent that reduces the viscosity of respiratory secretions; **terbutaline**, a selective beta-2 adrenergic agonist that acts as a bronchodilator to relax airway smooth muscle; **guaifenesin**, an expectorant that increases the volume and reduces the stickiness of airway secretions to facilitate their removal; and **menthol**, which provides a cooling sensation and mild local anesthetic effect to soothe throat irritation. This multi-ingredient approach effectively addresses both airway constriction and the accumulation of viscous mucus, improving respiratory comfort and clearance.
