Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Albipagrastim alfa (QLC2519) is a long-acting recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) fusion protein developed by Qilu Pharmaceutical. It is composed of a modified G-CSF molecule fused to the C-terminal of human serum albumin (HSA). This modification is designed to maintain high biological activity while reducing the affinity for the G-CSF receptor, which inhibits receptor-mediated clearance (RMC) and significantly extends the drug's half-life compared to filgrastim. Albipagrastim alfa is indicated for the prevention of chemotherapy-induced neutropenia (CIN) and febrile neutropenia in patients with non-myeloid malignancies. It was approved by the China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in 2023 and is being further evaluated in pediatric populations with solid tumors, including sarcoma.
