Overview

Albumin gel-platelet-rich fibrin (ALB-PRF) is an autologous blood-derived biomaterial created through a two-stage process: heating of serum and low platelet plasma to form an albumin gel, followed by incorporation of cells and growth factors from liquid PRF. This creates a biphasic, highly cellularized material that provides slow and gradual release of growth factors over extended periods, with significantly longer degradation time than traditional PRF. It demonstrates enhanced biocompatibility, reduced inflammatory response, and improved regenerative properties.
