Overview

APC-2000 is a dry powder inhaler (DPI) formulation of albuterol, a short-acting beta-2 adrenergic agonist (SABA), developed by Adamis Pharmaceuticals. It is intended for the treatment and prevention of bronchospasm in patients with asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). As a bronchodilator, albuterol works by selectively binding to and activating beta-2 adrenergic receptors in the lungs, which leads to the relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle and subsequent dilation of the airways. APC-2000 was designed to provide a portable, breath-actuated delivery system as an alternative to traditional pressurized metered-dose inhalers (pMDIs), utilizing Adamis's proprietary inhaler technology.
