Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of albuterol (a short-acting beta-2 agonist bronchodilator), ipratropium bromide (an anticholinergic bronchodilator), and methylprednisolone (a systemic corticosteroid). This triple therapy works through complementary mechanisms to manage respiratory conditions: albuterol relaxes bronchial smooth muscle by stimulating beta-2 receptors, ipratropium blocks muscarinic cholinergic receptors to prevent bronchoconstriction, and methylprednisolone reduces airway inflammation. The combination is particularly effective for acute exacerbations of COPD and severe asthma attacks.
