Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Albuterol sulfate + aspirin + nitroglycerin + epinephrine + dextrose + diphenhydramine** is a co-packaged dental-office emergency medication kit marketed by Best Dental Kit. The kit contains separately packaged small-molecule medicines for several acute emergencies: epinephrine for Type I allergic reactions and anaphylaxis; albuterol for bronchospasm; diphenhydramine for histamine-mediated allergic symptoms; nitroglycerin and aspirin for suspected ischemic cardiac events; and dextrose for hypoglycemia. Epinephrine is the key component for the stated anaphylaxis-related use and acts as a non-selective alpha- and beta-adrenergic receptor agonist. The Basic and Deluxe Dental Emergency Kit products are listed in DailyMed; the Deluxe kit additionally includes pediatric epinephrine and liquid diphenhydramine presentations. The product labeling has not been approved by the FDA as safe and effective.
