Overview

**ALD1910 + sumatriptan** is an investigational combination of a monoclonal antibody (ALD1910) and a small molecule triptan (sumatriptan), both designed for the treatment of migraine. ALD1910 is a high-affinity, neutralizing monoclonal antibody targeting both forms of pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating peptide (PACAP-38 and PACAP-27), thereby blocking PACAP signaling pathways implicated in migraine pathophysiology[2][4]. Sumatriptan is a selective serotonin (5-HT1B/1D) receptor agonist ("triptan") that treats acute migraine attacks by inducing vasoconstriction of intracranial blood vessels and inhibiting the release of pro-inflammatory neuropeptides[1]. This combination would theoretically provide both acute relief (via sumatriptan) and potential prevention or modulation of migraine triggers at the pathway level (via ALD1910), targeting two distinct and complementary mechanisms underlying migraine attacks.
