Overview

Aldesleukin + rituximab is a combination regimen of recombinant human interleukin‑2 (aldesleukin) with the anti‑CD20 monoclonal antibody rituximab, investigated to enhance antibody‑dependent cellular cytotoxicity against B‑cell malignancies by expanding and activating Fc receptor–bearing effector cells such as NK cells. Clinical studies in relapsed/refractory low‑grade non‑Hodgkin lymphoma tested subcutaneous low‑dose aldesleukin alongside standard intravenous rituximab; while aldesleukin increased circulating CD8+/CD56+ cells and augmented ADCC, objective response rates in rituximab‑refractory patients were low, indicating limited clinical benefit in that setting.[3][1]
