Overview

This is a combination of three biologic drugs—aldesleukin, filgrastim, and sargramostim—each with distinct but complementary mechanisms of action in immunomodulation and hematopoietic support. Aldesleukin is a recombinant interleukin-2 (IL-2) that stimulates the proliferation and activation of lymphocytes, particularly T cells and natural killer (NK) cells, enhancing immune responses against tumors. Filgrastim is a granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) that promotes the production, maturation, and activation of neutrophils from the bone marrow. Sargramostim is a granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), stimulating proliferation and differentiation of neutrophils, monocytes/macrophages, eosinophils, as well as enhancing their functional activity[2][4]. This combination may be used experimentally or in clinical protocols to enhance immune reconstitution or antitumor immunity following chemotherapy or stem cell transplantation.
