Overview

ALDP001 is an intranasal spray formulation of alcaftadine (0.125%), a small molecule H1 histamine receptor antagonist. It is being developed by Alixer Nexgen Therapeutics, a subsidiary of Alkem Laboratories, for the treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis. The drug is designed to alleviate allergic symptoms by blocking the effects of histamine and potentially through mast cell stabilization. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 2 adaptive clinical trials using an allergen challenge chamber (ECC) to determine the optimal dose and dosing frequency for adults with seasonal allergic rhinitis under controlled allergen exposure.
