ALETA-002

ALETA-002 is a preclinical, multi-specific CAR T-cell engager (CTE) developed by Aleta Biotherapeutics. It is designed to treat solid tumor cancers, particularly central nervous system neoplasms. The molecule uses a CD19-protein based CTE platform and targets three antigens: CD19, CD276 (also known as B7-H3), and HER2 (receptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-2). By engaging these targets, ALETA-002 aims to connect non-B cell cancer cells expressing CD276 or HER2 with circulating anti-CD19 CAR T cells in the patient. This strategy enables the redirected killing of solid tumor cells by leveraging the cytotoxic activity of existing anti-CD19 CAR T therapies, potentially expanding their utility beyond hematologic malignancies[1][2].
