Alexa Fluor 750 is a bright, near-infrared (NIR) fluorescent dye used primarily as a labeling agent for biological molecules such as antibodies, peptides, and proteins. It belongs to the Alexa Fluor family of dyes, characterized by high photostability and pH-insensitive fluorescence. With excitation and emission maxima at approximately 749 nm and 775 nm, respectively, it operates in the tissue transparency window, allowing for deep tissue penetration and reduced autofluorescence in in vivo imaging applications. It is widely utilized in preclinical research for biodistribution studies, tumor targeting, and the development of intraoperative fluorescence-guided surgery tools. The dye is often conjugated to targeting moieties like monoclonal antibodies or aptamers to enable real-time visualization of specific biomarkers in cancer and other diseases.
