ALG-000111

ALG-000111 is an investigational **oral small-molecule capsid assembly modulator** developed by **Aligos Therapeutics** for **chronic hepatitis B**. It is a **class II hepatitis B virus capsid assembly modulator** that targets the **HBV core or capsid protein**, driving aberrant or accelerated assembly of empty capsids, thereby inhibiting HBV pregenomic RNA encapsidation, viral DNA replication, and formation of infectious particles; this class may also interfere with establishment of cccDNA after viral entry. Preclinical reports describe ALG-000111 as highly potent in vitro and in vivo, and identify **ALG-000286** as its prodrug formulation with similarly strong antiviral activity.
