Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AlgiaPak is a multimodal, non-opioid pain management formulation being developed by Algia Pharma for the treatment of mild-to-moderate acute pain, including perioperative pain. The product combines multiple well-established non-opioid medicines into a single prescribing and dosing format, designed to block pain transmission along various pathways by acting on non-opioid receptors. By providing a standardized approach to hospital-grade multimodal pain control adapted for outpatient use, AlgiaPak aims to offer opioid-level efficacy without the risks of addiction or respiratory depression. The FDA has recommended the 505(b)(2) regulatory pathway for its development, and the company is currently progressing through IND-enabling studies with plans to advance toward Phase 2 clinical trials.
