Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of alisertib (MLN-8237), an oral selective Aurora kinase A inhibitor, and erlotinib, an oral reversible tyrosine kinase inhibitor targeting the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). This combination has shown synergistic antitumor activity in preclinical studies and has been evaluated in clinical trials for patients with recurrent or metastatic EGFR wild-type non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Recent research also suggests potential efficacy in KRAS-mutated NSCLC.
