ALIVIAFLEB

ALIVIAFLEB is a phlebotonic and vasoprotective pharmaceutical product developed and marketed by Denver Farma in Argentina. It is a fixed-dose combination of two micronized flavonoids: diosmin (450 mg) and hesperidin (50 mg), collectively known as a micronized purified flavonoid fraction (MPFF). The micronization process reduces the particle size of the active ingredients, significantly enhancing their gastrointestinal absorption and bioavailability compared to non-micronized forms. ALIVIAFLEB exerts its therapeutic effect by increasing venous tone through the prolongation of the vasoconstrictor effect of norepinephrine on the venous wall. It also improves lymphatic drainage by increasing the frequency of lymphatic vessel contractions and reduces capillary permeability by protecting the microcirculation from inflammatory processes. It is primarily indicated for the symptomatic treatment of chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) of the lower limbs—addressing symptoms such as pain, heaviness, and nocturnal cramps—and for the management of functional signs associated with acute hemorrhoidal crises.
