ALKemist Bio's ALK TCR-T cell therapy is an investigational adoptive cell therapy designed to treat non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and other solid tumors that express the Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase (ALK) protein. Unlike traditional CAR-T therapies that typically target surface antigens, this TCR-T approach utilizes engineered T cells to recognize intracellular ALK-derived peptides presented by Major Histocompatibility Complex class I (MHC-I) molecules. This mechanism allows the therapy to target oncogenic drivers that are typically sequestered within the cell and not accessible to antibody-based or CAR-T approaches. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development and aims to provide a new therapeutic option for patients with ALK-positive solid tumors.
