Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ALKALA T is an over-the-counter antacid product developed by Sanum-Kehlbeck GmbH & Co. KG. It is formulated as an oral tablet containing sodium hydrogen carbonate (sodium bicarbonate) as the primary active ingredient. The product is traditionally used for the symptomatic relief of heartburn and acid-related stomach disorders, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), sour stomach, and dyspepsia. ALKALA T functions through the direct chemical neutralization of gastric acid at the site of action in the stomach. It is part of the Sanum therapy system's base regulation product line, intended to help regulate acid-base balance in the body.
