Allegra-6 grass pollen allergen extract

Allegra-6 grass pollen allergen extract is a perennial sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) liquid formulation developed by Allergopharma Joachim Ganzer KG. It consists of an aqueous extract of six grass pollen species—*Dactylis glomerata*, *Festuca pratensis*, *Holcus lanatus*, *Lolium perenne*, *Phleum pratense*, and *Poa pratensis*—standardized to a major allergen content of grass group 5 allergens (e.g., 40 µg per maintenance dose). The drug is administered as sublingual drops and is indicated for the treatment of IgE-mediated allergic rhinoconjunctivitis (seasonal allergic rhinitis) with or without controlled, grass pollen-induced asthma. Clinical evidence from a Phase 3 trial (NCT00264459) demonstrated significant improvement in symptom and medication scores, alongside increases in allergen-specific IgG4 and IgG1, indicating a successful immunogenic effect and a favorable safety profile.
