Overview
Aller-g-complete is a veterinary allergy diagnostic and immunotherapy system developed by GREER Laboratories and distributed by IDEXX Reference Laboratories for the management of atopy in animals, particularly dogs. It includes serum IgE testing panels (e.g., Aller-g-detect preliminary panels) to identify specific environmental allergens such as pollen, molds, house dust, and insects, followed by customized allergen-specific immunotherapy (ASIT) delivered via subcutaneous injections or sublingual drops. The immunotherapy uses aqueous or glycerin-based extracts with up to 24 allergens per prescription, administered in a build-up phase (3 months for shots, 21 days for drops) to reach maintenance dosing for long-term symptom control, reducing reliance on symptomatic treatments like glucocorticoids.[9][14]
